From this Sunday homes across the country will be filled with the husky tones of Liam Payne and co as the 1D boys have landed their own radio show! For the next five Sundays a different member of the band will take to the airways at Manchester station Key 103 to host their own show packed with their favourite tunes and band gossip. Tune in from 3-4pm this Sunday to hear Zayn. Fingers crossed they’ve got a web cam.
They’ve been teasing us for days but finally we can reveal the big JLS news! The boys have written and recorded a track for Sports Relief! The song, titled ‘Proud’ will be the official single for the event which kicks off in March. Chris Moyles has announced that he’ll play the song when the band drops by for a chat at Radio 1 tomorrow morning. No confirmation yet on whether Aston will be in lycra.
Lady Gaga has been speaking about her new material, she’s revealed that she’s listening to heavy metal bands from the 1980’s as inspiration for new songs. Gaga has been strapping on the air guitar and rocking out to classics from Def Leppard for inspiration for her “avant-garde techno rock”- her words not ours. Apparently we can expect “anthemic choruses” and “an exploration of electronic music and techno songs”. Well it’s something different, isn’t it?

Taylor Swift has also been chatting about her next album, revealing we can expect lots of sad songs. “There’s just been this earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak and that will turn out to be what the next album is about.” *cough* Jake Gyllenhaal.
This’ll cheer Katy Perry up. The singer has been turned into a computer game character for The Sims 3 Showtime! The new game allows players to turn their ordinary Sims into superstars so who better to star in the game and front the ads than Katy. The stage for her California Dreams tour has been recreated along with her most famous outfits and hairstyles. The game will be released in March.
NME.com Editor Luke Lewis has been forced to apologise after he encouraged Twitter followers to rate ginger singer Ed Sheeran at the weekend using the straight-to-the-point hashtag #howshitisedsheeran. It didn’t take long for the Ed Sheeran hate to grow and the tag was soon trending, unsurprisingly Ed’s people noticed it and got a bit peeved. Lewis has now posted an apology on Facebook to say sorry for his “slightly baffling personal tirade.” Um lets keep the Ed Sheeran vs a potato post on the down-low yeah?
