Taylor Swift wins the Taylor Swift Award

It must be pretty cool to win an award named after yourself,  just like Taylor Swift when she was given the Taylor Swift Award from BMI yesterday, “in recognition of her incomparable creative and artistic talent and influence on music lovers throughout the world.” Basically because she’s amazing AF.

Tay is only the second person in the 76-year history of BMI to receive an award named after an artist, the first being Michael Jackson in 1990. Taylor didn’t stop there though, at yesterday’s BMI Pop Awards she also nabbed Pop Songwriter of the Year and claimed four of this year’s most performed songs including ‘Wildest Dreams‘, ‘Blank Space‘, ‘Style‘ and ‘Bad Blood‘.

Is there anything Taylor can’t do? Next there will be an official Taylor Swift Awards ceremony or a Taylor Swift Festival, probably even a new planet named after her. Tay has achieved world domination and we couldn’t be happier.
