Which book in the series did you read?

I read both books in the series, ‘Talon’ and ‘Rogue’.

Describe the plot of the ‘Talon Saga’ in a tweet – less than 140 characters please!
Dragons and a ton of romance! A dragon world hide secrets that force a young dragon girl to rethink everything she knows about her world.

Talon book coverIf you read ‘Rogue’ do you feel that you need to read the first in the series ‘Talon’ to understand it fully?
Yes! I would definitely say that you have to read ‘Talon’ before you can read ‘Rogue’. ‘Talon’ sets up the story and the characters, and ‘Rogue’ continues the story, but has more action and suspense in it.

Without giving anything away, does the ending make you want to read the next in the series?
Yes! As I’ve already read ‘Talon’ and ‘Rogue’, I’m going to be on pins and needles waiting for the release of the next book, ‘Soldier’. I’m really excited to read it and see what’s next for Ember, Riley/Cobalt and Garrett!

What genre would you class the book as?
I would class the books as Teen/Young Adult Fantasy Fiction.

Rogue book coverWhat was the best bit?

The best bit of the series for me wasn’t a particular scene, but it was actually the love triangle. I loved it and it added a lot to the story. I had such a hard time picking between the guys, Riley/Cobalt and Garrett too! I felt really sorry for Ember lol!

Anything you didn’t like?
I personally wasn’t a fan of the pace of the first book. It really set the story and plot up, but nothing big really happened in it until near the end, and I found myself having to force myself to keep reading at certain points.

Would you recommend the the ‘Talon Saga’ to your friends?
Yes! I actually bought my friend a copy of ‘Talon’ so that she can read it as well lol. I’m sure she’ll be desperate to read ‘Rogue’ straight after it and then she’ll have a long, agonizing wait for ‘Soldier’.

Do you think it would appeal to girls or boys more? Or both?
I would say that it appeals more to girls, but the different point of views could appeal to boys as well, as there’s more boys point of views than what there is girls.

Anything else you’d like to tell us about the book?
This series totally took me by surprise! I had been wanting to read it, and I’m so happy I took a chance on it. I personally preferred the second book to the first book, but I would recommend this series to anyone that loves a fantasy series with a difference.

Handling emotions and adult stuff like Jess Day and Nick Miller do.
I'm a bit awkward but really nice. I have a turtle called Turtle and I believe in the "You should take a nap every day".
