Was ‘All My Secrets’ what you had anticipated? From reading the blurb, I didn’t really know what to expect from this book or what twists and turns it would involve but as I began to read the first few chapters I could kind of see the direction it was heading in. However I could never have guessed the plot twists that would follow.
What did you think of the cover? At first I didn’t quite understand the front cover. It wasn’t until Evie went to Lightsea that I had a lightbulb moment and realised the context of the character on the front of the book. There could have been many other options for what to put on the cover of the book but I think the blurred character was a good choice.
Who was your favourite character? My favourite character definitely has to be Josh. At first I thought he was a bit cocky and arrogant but as the story progressed he seemed like the strongest person in the group and a natural leader. I like how he kept everyone calm in stressful situations and prioritised Evie in ensuring she was safe throughout the book.
Did ‘All My Secrets’ keep you guessing? ‘All My Secrets’ definitely kept me guessing! I had no clue what was going to happen next or how the story would finish. Every time I thought I had guessed where the story was going another plot twist threw me off guard. At times, it was very hard to put the book down as I was drawn into the story so much!
Would you read more by Sophie McKenzie after ‘All My Secrets’ This book isn’t one that I would normally read as it’s a bit young for me and I tend to go for more romance based novels. However, I enjoyed reading this book a lot more than I thought I would and would definitely read more from Sophie McKenzie in the future.
Rate out of 10.
I would rate this book an 8 out of 10. This is because although it wouldn’t usually be my book of choice, I liked the twists and turns of the story and how characters who you thought you could trust actually turn out to be the most dangerous.
