Six Questions we ask Everybody with… Omar

Another day, another brand new popstar for you to get hooked on, thanks to  our trusty six questions that we just go around asking everybody.

question-Bey

Let’s get to it, shall we? Meet Omar!

Tell us why we should listen to you in 140 characters or less…

I’m a singer who writes and produces my own music. My music is really diverse, and my music is what people wanna hear. It tells a story.

If you had to compare the sound of your music to a crisp flavour, what would you pick and how do they relate?

I think it can be described as bittersweet. It’s sweet hearing about someone’s emotions and how much they can care for someone. But it’s also really bitter because the story is reminiscing on a past love, not a current one. I guess I’m like a sour patch candy. First I’m sour, then I’m sweet.

What was the first single you ever bought and how has it inspired your music today?

I honestly couldn’t tell you the first song I bought. I couldn’t tell you if I bought a song a long time ago or a short while ago. I don’t know if I’ve ever bought a single. I buy albums though. The first album was Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’. It might’ve inspired my music, not too sure. But it definitely inspired my dancing!

Picture the scene…you have found a time machine and been sent back to the year 1996. You have been selected to become a member of a band known as the Spice Girls. What would your nickname be?

I’d probably introduce myself as Ghetto Booty Spice. Have that name be rejected. And then go for something like Paprika.

If you were given a pet cat and told you had to name it after an existing popstar, what would you name it?

Sam Hunt. It just sounds like a cat name.

Can you tell us that you love us?
