MP!er Sharon shares her thoughts on ‘SICK’ by Tom Leveen which left her dreaming of zombies

YOU REVIEW: MP!er Roisin shares her thoughts on ‘Sick’ by Tom Leveen. His first step into the realms of horror YA fiction.

PrintDescribe the plot of ‘SICK’ in a tweet – less than 140 character, please!
Good story that moves a good pace, I really love the black pages between the chapters, that have extra zombies on them everytime you look. The timeline is very good and shows how fast this illness is taking over!

What genre would you class the book as?
Young adult horror, although it’s great for adults too!

What was the best bit?
I really love the escape, although I almost wanted to run away myself and the end of the story makes you think! I was pretty much scared throughout this book.

Anything you didn’t like?

Both hated and loved being scared! Love the descriptions that Tom Leveen put into my head!

Would you recommend ‘SICK’ to your friends?
I love Brian and Chad’s banter throughout! I’d recommend to this book to everyone, and have tweeted to say this.

Do you think it would appeal to girls or boys? Or both?
This book is good for all ages and both genders.

Anything else you’d like to tell us about the book?
I have been reading ‘SICK’ by Tom Leveen over the last few days, and although I don’t normally read horror books, I love it and am now dreaming of zombies! I’ve passed it on to my son Harvey who’s absolutely loving it so far – proof that it doesn’t matter what age you are this is a brilliant read.
