Mp!er Roisin shares her thoughts on packed with suspense ‘Sick’ by Tom Leveen

YOU REVIEW: MP!er Roisin shares her thoughts on ‘Sick’ by Tom Leveen. His first step into the realms of horror YA fiction.

PrintDescribe the plot of ‘SICK’ in a tweet – less than 140 character, please!
What do you do when an infection starts turning people at school into monsters? Lock yourself in a drama studio and try to escape.

What genre would you class the book as?
It definitely crosses over between the fantasy and horror genre’s.

What was the best bit?
Without spoilers I have to say the ending I like the fact it wasn’t entirely happy.

Anything you didn’t like?
At some stages I felt like there was too many characters and so at times it was hard to keep up with what was going on.

Would you recommend ‘SICK’ to your friends?
Any that I know this type of book would appeal to yes!

Do you think it would appeal to girls or boys? Or both?
I think ‘SICK’ was originally targeted at a male audience however I enjoyed it so I think it just boils down to the type of book you enjoy.

Anything else you’d like to tell us about the book?
If fantasy/horror books are what you enjoy you’re pretty much garunteed to enjoy this!

Handling emotions and adult stuff like Jess Day and Nick Miller do.
I'm a bit awkward but really nice. I have a turtle called Turtle and I believe in the "You should take a nap every day".
