X Factor winner Shayne Ward’s back with a brand new stomping pop single.

Former X Factor winner and all round hottie Shayne Ward has returned with a brand new single titled ‘The Way You Were’, to be taken from his upcoming fourth studio album ‘Closer’.

Shayne co-wrote the track – which is described as a “stomping pop mid tempo” – with 80s pop production legend Mike Stock (ask your mums).

‘The Way You Were’ is the second single to be lifted from his forthcoming album which also features the hit ‘My Heart Would Take You Back’ and a cover of the Sugababes #1 smash ‘About You Now’.

‘Closer’ will be released digitally on April 12.
