Our favourite Canadian good boy Shawn Mendes has given an interview with The Telegraph (how highbrow of him), and has spoken about how important the bond between him and his fans is.
After finding fame through posting videos online, Shawn has spoken to the newspaper about the huge importance that his relationship with his fans holds.
“It’s so important, the interaction between me and them,” Shawn tells. “Sometimes I ask how they’re doing and they tell me stories. It’s cool. They know when it’s me [tweeting] or not.”
The 16-year-old also spilled the beans on how he wants to appeal to everybody, and not just the teenage demographic: “I don’t want to be just a teenage star. I want to be known by parents and I want them to go, ‘Oh I love that song; he’s really good for his age. My daughter loves him but I love him too.'”
We’ll be working on our mums all weekend, Mendes. Read Shawn’s full interview with The Telegraph here.
