Shawn Mendes is coming to the UK next month for the BIGGEST party imaginable

Summer just got 10000 times better

Crack out the party poppers, gals and guys! Our fave superstar Shawn Mendes is coming to the UK next month for a ginormous summer party.

Yep, that’s right! If you haven’t already guessed, Shawn will be playing this year’s Capital FM Summertime Ball with Vodafone. We know, we know – we’re FREAKING OUT too.

The event’s taking place on Saturday 10th June at Wembley Stadium and Shawn recently spoke to Capital about how excited he was to play. He said:

“I’m very excited about it, I’m very, very happy to be there, I can’t wait! I’ve never even seen so many people in front of me! I’m very excited. I’ve watched the videos a hundred times so I can’t wait to play there.”

Obvs, Wembley is a pretty large mahooosive venue, so Shawn will be performing to around 80,000 people. No biggie, then? LOL!

Shawn Mendes FINALLY reveals something the Mendes Army needed to know and we’re shook

He recently spoke to Capital FM’s Roman Kemp about what it’s going to be like to play a venue that size and what fans can expect from the show:

“It’s a huge event which somehow feels intimate which is very hard to do and that’s because of the artists, I’m excited for that and I’m going to see if I can get the crowd to sing. I’ve never had the opportunity to make 80,000 people sing along to a song so I’m hoping I can do that. If I can take my in-ears out at that moment and hear the crowd sing that would be in my top 5 craziest moments ever.”

Now for the important part, Mendes Army. Tickets for the Summertime Ball go on sale Thursday 11th May at 8am.

You need to sign up as a Capital FM VIP for get early access to pre-sale. For more information, just head to the station’s website.
