Booktubers are fab people. They let you know when a book’s worth buying, they show you the super pretty hardback edition so you know that’s the one you need, and on top of that, they’re just super sweet peeps who love books.
That’s why we’ve been scouring YouTube to find booktubing lovers of Morgan Matson and her wonderful, heart-warming novel, ‘Second Chance Summer’, which has been rereleased with Simon and Schuster this month – and we found a bunch.
Here are some of our favourite reviews and book haul announcements from some really cute book nerds.
Laura from InkStainsandBooks suggests you pack some tissues for this read. Noted, Laura – we’ll stock up on Kleenex ASAP. Plus, she gave it a full 5/5 stars, so it’s gotta be good.
A major Matson fan, Shannon is telling you to BUY THIS NOW – but also, be careful: this book tore her heart out. But, then again, book lovers enjoy passing around heart ache. That’s why we force ‘Fault In Our Stars’ on our friends, and beg them to read ‘Allegiant’ – we love sharing tears.
Kelsey was new to Matson before this read, and we think she’s converted. She suggests you give this book time; it’s one of those reads you need to just chill out with and not try to rush. Kinda like those lazy days in summer.
Christine is a live wire and we love her for it. She’s also a big Morgan Matson fan – and is also pretty chuffed the edition of the cover she’s got matches her make-up. Nice little plus there.
