It’s been 3 years since the last James Bond film came out and we spent almost everyday singing ‘Skyfall’ by Adele, and now we’ve got a new James Bond tune to belt out.
Sam Smith aka the male Adele and chart history maker, has recorded the theme tune for the new Bond movie ‘Spectre’. The song is called ‘Writing’s on the Wall’ and we’ll get to hear it and buy it on September 25th – that’s soon, eek!
The song was co-written with Jimmy Napes and Sam, who is the first British solo male artist to record a song for the Bond films since 1965; this is destined to win a GRAMMY.
“This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it,” Sam said.
The producers of ‘Spectre’, Michael G. Wilson & Barbara Broccoli have said “Sam and Jimmy have written the most inspirational song for Spectre and with Sam’s extraordinary vocal performance, ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ will surely be considered one of the greatest Bond songs of all time.” We really can’t wait to hear it!
