Shhhhh! MP! gives you full access to last night’s music biz showcase featuring an artist you’ll know very well

Got a secret, but we’re not gonna keep it. Sorry not sorry.

Last night MP! was invited to attend a secret gig in London by someone who already had a hell of a year with their debut single conquering the US Billboard Charts.

OK time to let the cat out of the bag, we’re talking about none-other than Canadian pop star Ruth B, aka the one who thinks that Barack Obama would approve of her song with a subtle but confident head nod/bop, (thinking WTF rn? Click here and all will become plain).

Unfortunately the gig was only open to music bizzy-type people but we felt bad for you guys so we filmed most of it anyway. We’re so here for you. Check out this superior balladry (good word that, balladry).

Ruth’s ‘Peter Pan’ inspired debut single has already been a big hit in the US so you would do well to get into her before she explodes here too.

But she ain’t no one-trick-pony, no sir. Her debut EP ‘The Intro’ is chock full of beautiful songs such as this one, ‘Golden’, which has a message about self-acceptance that everyone should hear.

We were also lucky enough to hear some new tracks from Ruth B which barely anyone has heard before, including the enchanting ‘If this is Love’.

To top it all off, Ruth left a cute message on our Snapchat exclusively for MP! readers so make sure you add us on Snapchat (maximumpop) to check that out.

Here’s a preview:

If you love a bit of Ruth B you simply must have a gander at our interview with her to find out why she now would like to be called Ruzazanoo. Tweet us @maximumpop if you thought Ruth sounded stunning at her showcase.
