Reviewer Round-Up: after ‘Firewalker’ “I’m anxiously awaiting the third book”

Firewalker1‘Firewalker’ is the blazing sequel to ‘Trial By Fire’ , a story of parallel universes, magic and one girl trying to make sense of it all. The blurb says it’s a “another sexy, fast-paced, heartbreaking thrill ride from internationally bestselling author Josephine Angelini” – and we want to see how many bloggers out there agree with that.

For Christy at The Reader Bee, the characters she met in book 1 definitely made an impact in this sequel: “Can I tell you how much I love the characters in this book? I find them all to be so well written, and I’ve come to really love them so much.”

Brittany from the Please Feed The Book Worm blog seems to have agreed, saying ,”I absolutely adore Juliet. I think she plays a pivotal role in both books but she really shines in this one.”

However, Brittany was not too fussed on how the romance developed in this one. “Clearly my favorite characters WERE NOT Lily and Rowan this time around. Pretty much out the gate they have secrets from each other and I just didn’t like the direction that they took.”

As for the plot, both reviewers seem to love how fast-paced and twisty ‘Firewalker’ was, after some initial hesitance . Christy said, “The beginning of the book starts off a bit slow… but the story really picks up towards the middle. The last few chapters in the book were what really had me on the edge of my seat.”

And what about book 3? Brittany told her readers that she is “eagerly awaiting it“, and Christy said: “I’m anxiously awaiting the third book, Traitor’s Pyre…Angelini has really outdone herself with this series, and I can’t wait to read more!”
