Dangerous Lies CoverIt’s time for another Reviewer Round Up, the part of MP!’s Book Channel where we go creeping on book bloggers all over the Internet to find out what they really think of our fave reads.

Another highly anticipated title from the Queen of Smoulder, and awarded a whopping 4.5/5 stars on Amazon, this is a book all you  Becca Fitzpatrick fans won’t want to miss. But don’t take our word for it – we read up on what book bloggers were saying, too. This time, we went snooping on A Cupcake and a Latte and My Bookish Fairytale.

Already a fan of Becca Fitzpatrick, A Cupcake and a Latte said, “There aren’t many authors that thoroughly impress me to the point of following every single one of their titles from debut onward, but Becca Fitzpatrick is certainly one of them.”

My Bookish Fairytale  agreed it was another hit from Fitzpatrick: “Another wonderful novel by Becca Fitzpatrick”.

They also said, “This thriller was well written and had the right amount of suspense and romance”, which A Cupcake and a Latte echoed in saying, “a thrilling but even paced title perfect for a weekend away.”

A Cupcake and a Latte also said of the plot: “Dangerous Lies was significantly more detailed (ie; plot twists and sneaky lies) than her previous mystery/thriller Black Ice, and was essentially the novel’s strongest selling point.”

But what about the characters? My Bookish Fairytale said, “The characters are fantastic“, and noted the protagonist’s character development throughout: “At the beginning of the book I couldn’t help but think how bratty Stella was. But the growth she had throughout the novel was fantastic.”

A Cupcake and a Latte said how well Fitzpatrick wrote her characters and how invested they were in them, saying “I genuinely feared for her characters and their fates”.

Final Word?

A Cupcake and a Latte: Overall, fans of Becca Fitzpatrick and readers with a passion for high-risk but even paced thrillers will absolutely adore Dangerous Lies.

My Bookish Fairytale: “I wish I could have stayed in Thunder Basin for just a little while longer.”
