QUIZ: How woke are you?

Learn more about these important issues

Gen Z are some of the most woke people ever! No, seriously, we are.

It’s been proven that most of us who were born in the mid-1990s to early 2000s are more aware of what’s going on in the world around us – whether that be political or social issues.

One of our favourite new YA characters is taking her first steps into the world of activism, too.

Fifteen-year-old Alena from Catherine Barter’s new novel ‘Troublemakers’ never knew her political activist mother.

Her mum died when she was just a baby and she grew up with her half-brother, Danny, and his boyfriend, Nick in East London.

Things take a terrifying turn, though, when the area they live in is threatened by a bomber, who has been leaving explosive devices in supermarkets. How horrible.

The fearful situation encourages Alena to start researching and learning more about her past, resulting in her doing something truly rebellious and completely badass.

Sounds like an incredible read, right?!

Can we please just talk about Patrick freakin’ Ness?

Plan your prison escape and we’ll tell you which YA character is actually your long lost twin!

You NEED to hear about THIS weekend MUST READ that’s everyone is talking about!

Well, it is. The book is one of the most woke YA novels EVER and will quickly make you question your own political knowledge and outspokenness.

How woke are you, though? Test your knowledge in our brand new quiz. In it, you’ll be asked a range of questions about a whole range of political issues around the world and in the UK.

From the Black Lives Matter movement to Trident to the NHS – you’re going to have to be seriously woke to ace it. That said, this ISN’T a test.

Understanding EVERYTHING about the world is a mammoth task and we don’t judge at all.

So if your score does come back low, maybe it will encourage you to learn more about these important causes and issues. We can do it together.

Ready? Let’s do this!
