MP! Reviews: Pentatonix @ The Theatre, NYC.

We recently had the pleasure of seeing Pentatonix live in New York City on March 19th. They played at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden to over 4000 fans on there ‘On the Way Home’ tour.

Pentatonix are an acapella group from Arlington, Texas that won NBC’s ‘The Sing Off’ in 2011.  The group consists of four male vocalists, Avi, Kevin, Mitch and Scott, and one female singer, Kristie. The group had a US tour last year, and are now embarking on a world tour, before touring with Kelly Clarkson this summer. PTX are signed to Sony Music, who also manage groups like One Direction and Fifth Harmony.

The group was discovered via there Youtube channel, that has over 7,800,000+ subscribers. Some of their most successful covers include the ‘Evolution of Music’, ‘Evolution of Beyonce’, and their Daft Punk melody. Check out their Daft Punk melody (that has over 125,000,000 views) here:

We’re giving two lucky fans a chance to see Pentatonix LIVE in the UK at either their concert in Manchester or Leeds. Pentatonix put on a fantastic show with ‘no strings attached’. The lighting and atmosphere that the show brings is incredible, and it’s totally easy to jam out to their amazing covers. I promise, you’ll know at least one song.

One of our favourite covers of theirs is their Beyonce melody. We’re a huge fan of Bey and they included every single smash hit of hers into one song. Also one of our favorites was the  mashup of Sam Smith vocals with ‘La La La’ and ‘Latch’. Overall, the concert was fantastic and we highly suggest it to any music lover, or pop music fan.
