Paige Toon’s ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ didn’t disappoint MP!er Kirsten.

Life as the undercover daughter of a rock god isn’t going to be easy. How will Jessie adjust to her old boring life again after spending her summer living it up with her dad in LA? With tough decisions ahead (and not just choosing between two hot boys), can she cope juggling her two very different lives? Summer may be over, but Jessie’s story is just beginning…

MP!er Kirsten applied to review Paige Toon’s ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ through our You Review section and she was a lucky one. Find out her thoughts here.

Had you read the first book in the Jessie Jefferson series? If not, did it make sense without it?
Yes I had along with all of Paige’s other books and I loved it! I couldn’t wait for this book to come out because the first book left you wanting more. ‘The Accidental Life Of Jessie Jefferson’ and the ‘Johnny Jefferson’ series introduced you to all the characters and more than anything I wanted to see the bond with her family continue to grow, and it didn’t disappoint!

What did you think of the cover? I think it definitely shows you the genre of the book, it sums it up in a picture. If I was to see this book in a shop it would stand out to me and I would definitely pick it up to read the blurb!

i knew you were troubleJessie has to juggle a couple of boys in this book. Who do you ship her with? I’m not sure I want to admit it but I am a Jack and Jessie fan! This didn’t stop me feeling sorry for Tom though, he seemed like the perfect guy and Jack hasn’t been so far, but Jack and Jessie together just seemed to work (for now anyway).

If Jessie was your BFF for the day, what would you get up to? I couldn’t help feeling a bit jealous of Jessie’s mini road trip down to the beach, I definitely wouldn’t have minded being there for that!

Did you maybe not like anything? Lets just say my heart broke a little bit for Tom…

Would you recommend to friends? Yes, I really would, I read it in one day and I am already looking forward to the third book! Thank you Paige Toon!

Lastly what would you give ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ out of 10? 9
