One Direction is ahead of Justin Bieber on the UK charts so far, but there’s still time

The battle of the pre-orders is over. Now, only 14,000 album sales currently separate number one, One Direction’s Made In The A.M., from number two, Justin Bieber’s Purpose, on the Official Charts. One Direction is looking to land their fourth UK number one album after Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013), and Four (2014), while Justin’s would be his second after Believe (2012).

While Made In The A.M. is One Direction’s fifth and final album before their hiatus next year, Purpose is considered to be Justin’s “comeback” album.

Both albums have four days left until the winner is crowned for this week’s Official Albums Chart top spot.
