One Direction, Demi Lovato, Paramore or Florida Georgia Line: Which Teen Choice Award performance was best?

If you’re anything like us here at MP! Towers then you stayed up all night watching a blurred, buffering stream of the Teen Choice Awards looking out for our American crushes, cute Zerrie moments (Zayn and Perrie if you’ve been living under a rock for the past two years) and, most importantly, the hot performances that we knew the stars of today were bound to give.

After watching all of these performances (and a little bit of sleep), we’ve decided that we simply can’t decide which performance we loved the best and we are handing this important decision over to you!

If you missed them then don’t panic, they’re right below this along with a poll for you to vote:

One Direction – Best Song Ever

Opening the awards show with a very colourful set was One Direction performing their new worldwide smash hit ‘Best Song Ever’. The song exploded with a mound of confetti and saw Zayn debut a new haircut and later on in the ceremony, Harry debut a new pulling technique – his twerk! We’re not sure if the older women you like will be impressed by that, Huzzah!

Florida Georgia Line Feat. Nelly – Cruise

Don’t be afraid to admit you didn’t know who Florida Georgia Line were because, in all honesty, we didn’t either. But after this performance, which literally set the stage on fire, we love them – and we’re sure you will too! This song has hit number 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 so they’re a pretty big deal in the States. The country-style song has been ‘cruising’ round our head all night and we don’t think it’ll leave anytime soon.

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas – Made In The USA

Next up is our joint favourite real life Disney princess (we just can’t choose between her, Miley or Selena) performing new single ‘Made In The USA’. The performance was pretty basic in terms of choreography/staging but that can be forgiven due to the powerhouse vocals Ms. Lovato delivered and also the fact that Nick Jonas of back-from-falling-off-the-face-of-the-earth band Jonas Brothers was on the drums! Is anyone one else sniffing some Nemi love?

Paramore – Still Into You

The final performance of the night came from Paramore and their recent power pop rock anthem ‘Still Into You’. This performance was definitely the best in terms of staging with the pink-themed graphics that flew against the back screen and the multi-coloured hair ballerinas that joined the punk band on stage (and even showed a bit of bum!) The performance concluded with yellow and blue balloons landing on the audience, we loved it!

Now it’s up to you! Which Teen Choice Award performance was your favourite? Voting is now closed.

Result: Whoa! You guys came out in force for this one! You crowned One Direction as the Best Performers of the Teen Choice Awards with 75% of the vote (followed by Demi with 18.75%). Unfortunately, we don’t have any surf boards lying around the office to give 1D but they have our respect and love. Keep up the good twerk, Hazza!
