Olly Murs quits ‘The X Factor’ and we are absolutely gutted, tbh.

Just days after Nick Grimshaw confirms his exit from The X Factor judges panel, it is reported that Olly Murs has also thrown in the towel and we are totally gutted.

According to The Sun, Ols made the decision last summer and has now told Simon Cowell, who was hoping he would continued in his role in the biggest UK talent show.

“This was an incredibly hard decision to make and one I didn’t take lightly as I’ve really enjoyed co-hosting The X Factor.”

“It’s been one big adventure and I loved every minute of it. But my heart belongs to music and I want to concentrate 100 per cent on making my next album and getting back to performing.”

It was the pressure of being both a musician and presenter which made Mursy boy call it a day.

“Last November I was doing the show, promoting a new single and I felt increasingly like the music side of things had to be shoehorned into the TV schedule.

“Now that I’ve started working on my next album I couldn’t see myself having the time to do both.”

Speaking to The Sun about Olly’s decision, Simon commented “it was fantastic having Olly on The X Factor last year and now this year he has to concentrate on his new album.”

“In addition to this we have agreed to work on some other TV projects in the future.”

With Olly’s confirmed departure, Simon has revealed that he will be giving Caroline Flack the axe, too,  meaning our favourite TV duo are no more. Let us cry, pls.

What’s going on? No Grimmy? No Carolly? Whoever takes their places have big boots to fill.  Who do you think should be presenting 2016 X Factor? Tweet us @maximumpop and let us know.
