Ah, is there anything better than getting a new GLOSSYBOX in the mail? Spoilers ahead!
Unlike October’s GLOSSYBOX, the November box had no specific theme, but it immediately struck me as essentials to get through holiday prep. Hand creme and a face mask for the colder weather, warm-toned eyeshadow to keep you glowing—everything to keep you looking and feeling your best as the holiday season rolls in. So let’s look inside!
1. Flora-py — Floral Therapy Facial Sheet
When I first saw this packet, I thought it would contain a liquid face mask inside that I’d squeeze out, but no. This face mask came in a sheet made of 100% coconut and soaked essential oils and floral ingredients. The sheet was so much easier to apply and take off than a liquid mask, and it felt and smelled amazing. My skin, which had already gotten sad and duller in the autumn, immediately brightened up. And face masks always have that magical way of transporting you the spa, don’t they?
2. Crabtree & Evelyn — La Source Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy
I was the most excited about this one when I first opened the box, just because I knew the brand and I knew how amazing their hand cream was. Of course I wasn’t disappointed—this cream feels luxurious and rich, smells wonderful, and will definitely be living inside my purse through November and December. Ingredients like macadamia nut oil, seaweed and algae extracts, and vitamin E made the skin miracles happen.
3. Estée Lauder — Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Creme
Like I said, I felt like this box was designed to get you through these tough, stressful months so you can enjoy the holidays looking and feeling your best. In addition to the face mask for a boost of moisture, this anti-aging creme helped my skin feel hydrated and fresh while helping fight that end-of-the-year dullness (not to mention the little things like fine lines). It’s super thick and rich, and a tiny bit can cover your whole face.
4. Marsk — Mineral Eyeshadow in “You’re Toast”
I loved, loved, loved the super-pigmented texture of this eyeshadow, especially for fall and winter when I most needed a beauty pick-me-up with a punch. The “You’re Toast” color was a warm golden brown, and I accented it with a darker brown in the crease and a brighter gold in the inner corners. The loose pigment consistency of this shadow was easily workable and blended with my other colors.
5. Beauty For Real — D-Fine Perfect Lip Pencil
Ever since Kylie Jenner’s lips became the talk of the town, I had been dying to try out a lip pencil. I was glad to get it in my GLOSSYBOX because I felt like it pushed me to finally experiment! This skin-toned lip pencil was designed to help accentuate and enhance the size and shape of lips without going overboard (sorry Kylie) and to blend right in with any shade of lipstick or gloss. Sounded almost too good to be true, but it worked. I outlined my lips with the pencil, which glided smoothly and stayed put, and then applied my usual lipstick right over it. It definitely gave my lips a more defined edge, helping enlarge them naturally. I’m officially on board with lip liners!
Full sizes of all the products in this month’s box totaled to $118, but the GLOSSYBOX of full- and generously-sized samples was only $21!
