Alarm Pop: Charli XCX’s songwriter Noonie Bao is back with perfect pop song ‘Pyramids’.

Noonie Bao is fast becoming one of our favourite Scandinavian popstars following the release of her single ‘I’m In Love’ and today she returns with today’s Alarm Pop ‘Pyramids’, which has been described as the perfect pop song, and we can’t say we disagree.

‘Pyramids’ is bursting with 80s electro-pop energy – so your mum will love it, too!

Noonie said of the track, which is inspired by one of her favourite films: “I sat at home and watched the classic ‘The Fifth Element’, which is one of my favorite movies. When I was feeling a little bit down I was inspired by one of the fighting scenes in which the main character Leeloo overcomes a bunch of monsters. I wrote this song as a soundtrack to the scene and as a song for myself and everyone else that has ever been down but wants to get up again.”

If you want to find out more about Noonie, make sure you read our interview with her.

‘Pyramids’ is available to buy now.
