It’s been happening under our noses for a while now but Nick Jonas has made a seamless transition from clean cut pop star to all round stud muffin of the highest order. The former Disney star has frequently found himself sans clothing in recent photoshoots and has been dropping some amazing dark and moody pop bangers of late such as fab new single ‘Chains’.
The ‘Jealous’ singer is currently gracing the cover of this month’s issue of Attitude magazine and was kind enough to sit down for a bit of a chinwag about his transformation into smouldering sex god, saying;
“Yeah I think it had to happen naturally for me over time. Over the course of years it probably developed, and I thought I had to be okay with who I was and what I wanted to show to the world, and thoughts and ideas and opinions change over time. Back in the days with my brothers I think I put more pressure on myself than I should have. I wasn’t enjoying the moments as much as I could’ve. So this time around, at the core I’ve told myself to enjoy the ride and have fun with it, and don’t stress over the little things.”
When asked why he hasn’t gone off the rails like fellow teen star Justin Bieber, Nick told the mag;
“It’s tough to say. I think it’s a combination of a few things; the first being that I always felt really fortunate being in the position I was in. I was still growing as an artist as I was getting popularity and success so I took it more as, you know, I’m really lucky to be here and I want to learn as much as possible – and just be really grateful for it. And I did it with my family and had that sort of care and support throughout the whole process. But there are moments when you’re like, “I’m definitely going to lose my mind,” that it’s all too much.”
Nick also went on to talk about all things grooming, saying;
“It’s funny, I never even really thought about it; that that would be an issue. I think that I’ve never even tried to like wax or shave my chest hair or anywhere else. I just think, “I’m a man, I don’t really need to!” That’s the beautiful part about being a man! It’s a whole lot of trouble to do all that! But actually when we were doing some of the Kingdom shoots in our fight-wear – which is just shorts and that’s it – one of my friends on set who’s this awesome lesbian chick was like, “You know what I really dig? I really dig that you don’t shave or wax – keep that up!” And I was like, okay, if that’s coming from her then I’m all good to go!”
Well we think you absolutely perfect just the way you are, Nick!
