It’s that time of the week where we take a moment to look at some of the most tantalising and fangirly pieces of book news the world had to offer this week.
From J K Rowling to P. C. Cast to The Vamps! This week was a good ‘un.
J K Rowling shows us her rejections.
J K Rowling, order of Merlin first class, answered a fan’s recent rejection with some of her own.
Unfortunately it isn’t the Harry Potter ones, which are “in my attic”, but she shares some she received for her pseudonym instead. ‘Robert Galbraith’ wasn’t an instant success, much to the comfort of fans and aspiring authors.
I pinned my 1st rejection letter to my kitchen wall because it gave me something in common with all my fave writers! https://t.co/ZmGNWDdF7x

P. C. Cast of ‘House of Night’ fame, has branched out on her own. Going solo, without her daughter and writing partner, this new YA fantasy series should hit shelves in October. ‘Moon Chosen’ “follows a girl named Mari, an Earth Walker with healing powers, and Nik, a boy from a rival clan with whom she forges an alliance.”
You can see the cover, and an excerpt here.
The Vamps autobiography will be published by Headline and is currently set to be released in the Autumn. Just in time for those fangirl Christmas wish lists, eh? “Dear Santa…”
We wrote more about it here.
