Disney is forever making our dreams come true and its latest book-to-film adaptation won’t be any different in bringing our childhood back to life. Roald Dahl’s ‘The BFG‘ is being brought to the big screen by Steven Spielberg and after the initial trailer we’re all kinds of impatient to see it. But that’s alright, because they’ve only gone and given us a second trailer.
It just looks so good — we basically had to screech into a pillow so people wouldn’t think we were getting attacked… And then compose this letting you know said bits we screeched at.
THE DISNEY LOGO
Obvs, we lose our absolute sh*t at anything Disney does. Why? Because it’s freakin’ amazing — their logo alone is what actual dreams are made of.
“BONE CRUNCHER, COIL CHEWER, MEAT DRIPPER, GIZZARD GULPER BUTCHER BOY”
Hey, we reckon we know that line and it’s taking us right back to primary school and our blissful childhood.
Can we just appreciate how the BFG pronounces cannibal at this point in the trailer, please? He might be the friendliest giant ever (soz, Hagrid), but he’s also probably the most adorable, too.
We’re actually yodelling at this point. Did everyone else have dreams of finding their own BFG and letting him carry you around in the palm of his hand or the pocket of his trousers? Just us? OK then.
OMG, WHAT’S THAT HE’S HOLDING?
Oh, of course! It’s the trumpet-like device the BFG uses to catch dreams. Wasn’t the mind of Roald Dahl wonderful?
COULD THIS BE THE DREAM COUNTRY?
This is hella beautiful. We are seriously blown away by the cinematography in this film, it is stunning.
NOOOO, EVIL GIANTS
Uh oh! At Sophie’s mention of the possibility of nightmares, the not-so-friendly giants appear. Eek!
LEAVE SOPHIE AND THE BFG ALONE
Is that a Bloodbottler giant we see? Either way, we’d like them to please leave.
WHEN THE BFG GETS THROWN AROUND BY THE OTHER GIANTS :(
Sophie is us, we are Sophie. We don’t like it when the evil giants pick on the BFG.
AHHH, SERIOUSLY EMOSH
OK, we would like to please request that you don’t look at us. It’s not because we’re crying or anything. Just… don’t.
AND AGAIN, AHHHHHHHH X 100000000
The title font and colouring is just ah-mazing! We love how they’ve incorporated the different coloured dreams into it. It’s so shiny and pretty. We feel a bit emosh again just looking at it, tbh.
So that’s some of our really thought-provoking and legible thoughts on the second trailer of ‘The BFG’. We have got seriously high hopes for this one and we just know Disney won’t disappoint.
