You’ve heard the rumours, and now we’ve got the proof.
G.R.L. are officially back together.
But it looks like there’s been quite a big change…
After band member Simone Battle’s untimely passing in September 2014, the remaining girls decided to continue as a four-piece and released their single ‘Lighthouse’ as a touching tribute to Battle.
Unfortunately at the time, they felt they couldn’t continue and decided to split. However, original members Lauren Bennett and Natasha Slayton have since reunited, but Emmalyn Estrada and Paula van Oppen have decided not to return.
Joining the band is red-haired wonder Jazzy Mejia, which means G.R.L. will now officially continue as a trio.

In fact, the new-look G.R.L. made their first live appearance and performance at an event in the US, where they performed their hit single ‘Ugly Heart’. We’ve even got some footage:
Looking good girls. We’re looking forward to hearing more from the G.R.L. ladies in the coming months ahead. They’re also due to make an appearance at Nickelodeon’s Slime Fest in Australia in September 2016, so perhaps we’ll get some new music before then? Who knows…
