Naya Rivera ‘Sorry’- 5 Things You Need To Know

This week, one of our favourite Glee stars, (actually, we don’t have a favourite, we love them all!), Naya Rivera has released her very own single!

Although she’s not the first star to use the hit teen show as a platform for her very own music career, her sound is the most diverse. With other Glee actors releasing musical theatre cover albums or choosing a country sound, Naya has decided to go down the route we know she can do best – R’n’B.

Here’s five things we know – and you need to know – about Naya’s debut hit:

1 It’s called ‘Sorry’ and is aimed at the crazy ex of a new boyfriend who just can’t get over the break-up and won’t leave the new couple alone.

2 The song features a rap from Naya’s real-life boyfriend Big Sean. We can’t decide if it’s cheesy or cute that she’s asked him to feature on her first single…

3 Although we love the track and it’s been on repeat for days here at MP! Towers, it’s exactly what we expected. We’re not complaining but we would have liked a little surprise if we’re totally honest- like if the whole Glee cast popped up at the end.

Our favourite lyric is “You’re a hashtag and pity party”. You all know we love a good hashtag! #PityParty!

5 It’s already receiving backlash from Big Sean’s ex. Brytni (whom Naya namedrops in the single) tweeted her anger, posting: “I mean it’s on you if you want to publicly admit your role in cheating as a positive. But remember…Telling your fans who are mostly young girls that its ok to disrespect another woman is foul. Sorry. Not sorry.” Ouch!

What do you think of the single? Check it out below…
