But which ones will be rushing out to buy as soon as they hit the shelves?

lydia‘Lydia: The Wild Girl of Pride & Prejudice’, Natasha Farrant (1st, Chicken House)

A spirited, witty and fresh reimagining of Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’! Lydia is the youngest Bennet sister and she’s sick of country life – instead of sewing and reading, she longs for adventure. When a red-coated garrison arrives in Merryton, Lydia’s life turns upside down. As she falls for dashing Wickham, she’s swept into a whirlwind social circle and deposited in a seaside town, Brighton. Sea-bathing, promenades and scandal await – and a pair of intriguing twins. Can Lydia find out what she really wants – and can she get it?

Austen + Lydia Bennet + Brighton = pure joy

the graces‘The Graces’, Laure Eve (1st, Faber)

Like everyone else in her town, River is obsessed with the Graces, attracted by their glamour and apparent ability to weave magic. But are they really what they seem? And are they more dangerous than they let on?

We’ve literally heard nothing but amazing things about ‘The Graces’ and we are SO READY for some serious magic, beautiful writing and fun. It’s going to be the perfect book for autumn.

super awkward‘Super Awkward’, Beth Garrod (1st, Walker)

I, Bella Fisher, am absolutely WINNING at FAILING at life. 1. I once got my tongue stuck to a box of Calippos in a supermarket. 2. I accidentally called my geography teacher Mum. Twice. He wasn’t impressed. 3. I’m a geek. And not in a geek-chic kind of way, but in a secretly-caring-about-failing-maths-and-science way. 4. I always fail maths and science. So it figures that when I meet the FITTEST BOY IN THE WORLD, Zac, I’m doing solo star jumps. While dressed as a cereal box. *(NOTE TO SELF, fancy dress = HE-WILL-NEVER-EVER-FANCY-ME dress.) Now I’ve got to somehow persuade Zac to come to prom with me while avoiding my evil ex and dealing with a secret so mega-awks I want to Ctrl-Z my brain… What could go wrong? Oh yeah, that’s right. Absolutely everything.

WE’RE SOLD.

empire of storms‘Empire of Storms;, Sarah J Maas (6th, Bloomsbury)

The long path to the throne has just begun for Aelin Galathynius. As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?

We’re so excited for this we can barely breathe. Although we’re totally not sure we’re ready…

a torch against the night‘A Torch Against the Night’, Sabaa Tahir (8th, Harper Voyager)

‘A Torch Against the Night’ takes readers into the heart of the Empire as Laia and Elias fight their way north to liberate Laia’s brother from the horrors of Kauf Prison. Hunted by Empire soldiers, manipulated by the Commandant, and haunted by their pasts, Laia and Elias must outfox their enemies and confront the treacherousness of their own hearts.

In the city of Serra, Helene Aquilla finds herself bound to the will of the Empire’s twisted new leader, Marcus. When her loyalty is questioned, Helene finds herself taking on a mission to prove herself?a mission that might destroy her, instead.

We were blown away by ‘An Ember in the Ashes’ last year – it’s brutal, different and totally addictive. We’re beyond ready for the next book, especially now we know there are going to be two more books.

the deviants‘The Deviants’, CJ Skuse (22nd, Mira Ink)

Ella, Max, Corey, Fallon and Zane.

The Fearless Five, inseparable as children growing up in a sleepy English seaside town. But when Max’s older sister is killed, the friendship seems to die with her.

Now only Max and Ella are in touch, still best friends and a couple since they were thirteen. But Ella is hiding things – like why she’s afraid to take their relationship to the next level. And when underdog Corey is bullied, the Fearless Five are brought back together again, teaming up to wreak havoc and revenge on those who have wronged them.

But when the secrets they are keeping can no longer be kept quiet, will their fearlessness be enough to save them from themselves?

We love CJ Skuse and her books so very much so we’re obvs excited to see ‘The Deviants’ hitting shelves in September. It’s gonna be GOOD.

crooked kingdom‘Crooked Kingdom’, Leigh Bardugo (27th, Orion)

After pulling off a seemingly impossible heist in the notorious Ice Court, criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker feels unstoppable. But life is about to take a dangerous turn – and with friends who are among the deadliest outcasts in Ketterdam city, Kaz is going to need more than luck to survive in this unforgiving underworld.

We’ve been waiting for this books for YEARS, or you know, a year, and we’re beyond excited to be back in the world of the Grisha and catch up with Kaz. Follow Leigh Bardugo on Snapchat while you’re waiting!

three dark crowns‘Three Dark Crowns’, Kendare Blake (22nd, Macmillan)

In every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born: three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic. Mirabella is a fierce elemental, able to spark hungry flames or vicious storms at the snap of her fingers. Katharine is a poisoner, one who can ingest the deadliest poisons without so much as a stomach-ache. Arsinoe, a naturalist, is said to have the ability to bloom the reddest rose and control the fiercest of beasts.

But becoming the Queen Crowned isn’t solely a matter of royal birth. Each sister has to fight for it. And it’s not just a game of win or lose . . . it’s life or death. The night the sisters turn sixteen, the battle begins.

The last queen standing gets the crown.

We are always in for seriously amazing fantasy and this premise just sounds so cool. We’re so game.
