It’s official! Despite rumours that the band were splitting up to embark on a quest to win every single reality television programme ever made, Harry Judd has confirmed in an interview with Digital Spy that McFly are currently working on their sixth studio album. Wanna know more? Of course you do.
“It’s really hard to describe at the moment,” says Harry of the sound that the band are going for this time around, “Danny has been putting together some demos and they sound amazing – they’re very carefully produced already. It’s exciting when the demos themselves sound great.”
And for those of you that weren’t so keen on the “mature pop” style that they tried out on last album Above The Noise, this one’s for you: “This next album is a bit more raw sounding like our older stuff.” Hooray!
Finally, who would Harry love the band to collaborate with? “A female artist would be great – Jessie J would be amazing, though she’s obviously doing extremely well at the moment… in a dream world!”
So there you have it – McFly’s sixth album is raw, carefully produced, sounding great and in a dream world would have a Jessie J duet on it. Who’s about to explode with excitement?
