Download or Ditch? Marlene ‘Indian Summer’: One for the camping trips

We wish we had brought you this when it was actually summer but not to panic, Marlene’s ‘Indian Summer’ goes perfectly well with the autumnal evenings.

The Swedish singer/songwriter penned this enchanting and poetic little tune that sounds like it was made to soundtrack camping trips with your mates.

‘Indian Summer’ sweeps gently with piano plinks, tribal chants and innocuous synths in the background.

The track is quite a departure from her experimental last single ‘Bon Voyage’, which blended bass-heavy R&B beats with dreamy synths. Ms Marlene is definitely no one-trick pony.

Marlene’s Indian Summer EP is out now.
