We’re still trying to ignore the fact that our life will be One Direction-less for a whole year as of next March but now somebody’s trying to tell us that we should be happy they’re taking a break. Happy? WHAT?
But this opinion is from somebody who knows what they’re talking about.
Markus Feehily is a former member of Westlife, who took a year-long break in 2009 before returning for an extra four years, which was four years longer than they would have lasted without the break, he reckons.
“That break bought us another four or five years in Westlife so it was the best thing we could have done, because if we didn’t take that break in 2009 we would have only lasted about another year and it bought us another four,” Markus told Yahoo! Celebrity.
“So I actually think One Direction fans should be happy that they are taking a break because it’s probably going to buy them more years in the business. If they are crying out saying they need a break then they need a break – otherwise it will end a lot sooner.”
Four years with a one year break or one year with no break? We think we’ll take the hiatus thanks.
