Back in 2008, The Miley and Mandy Show was the literal highlight of our lives. We used to enjoy nothing more than rushing home from school, jumping on the computer and seeing what Miley Cyrus and her BFF Mandy Jiroux had got up to.

But now, Mandy has become a fan of EDM Music and has turned her hand to DJing. Once again, we jumped on the computer and emailed her over some questions and you’ll never guess what, she emailed her answers back!

Hey Mandy! Thanks for taking the time to chat with us! How did you find Vegas?

Vegas was so much fun! I was out there during EDC week for a few meetings and interviews. It was a great experience! Watched a lot of my favorite DJs play also.

Did you get the chance to hit any of the Casinos?

I didn’t get the chance to gamble. I’m not much of a gambler anyway.

How do you juggle all the travelling, recording music and your dance tutorial videos?

Sometimes it gets tough to do it all, but at the end of the day, I truly just want to get even busier. I live for what I do.

Which has been your favourite routine so far to teach?

This is a tough question, but I would say ‘Somebody’ by Natalie La Rose. I loved the old school hip hop choreography vibe.

How did you celebrate your 500,000 subscribers?

I went out to eat with my manager and a few friends.

You have recently released ‘My Forever’, what has the reaction been like so far?

The reaction has been great! It’s starting to be played on radio stations in the US including Sirius XM and I just signed the record to a label in Europe, so I’m really excited about that! Afrojack and David Guetta have also supported and played it.

Do you have more music in the pipeline?

Yes, I’m in the studio every week creating more music. I have a few features that will be coming out soon as well as more original music.

Who would be your ultimate collaboration?

Hmm…it’s between Afrojack, DJ Snake, Zedd and Calvin Harris.

You must be so excited about your new Universal Fitness contract. How did that come about? Will it work as part of your dance tutorials?

I am so excited about my fitness contract! Universal Fitness loved what I was doing on my YouTube channel, so they came to me and asked if I would create my own dance cardio workout program. A cool thing about it is, all my workouts will be to my original music. That’s all I can say about it right now.

Where did your passion for dancing begin? How does it make you feel?

My passion for dancing started at 3 years old. Once I started, I never stopped. It’s my life, my drug, my therapy, my love. My everything.

Have you become a Netflix binge watcher yet?

I don’t watch a lot of Netflix honestly, but every once in awhile you have to have those days where you just binge eat and binge watch episodes of your favorite TV show.

Seems like you had a blast at the iHeart Pool Party, any crazy antics?

I did have a blast at the iHeart Pool Party! It was super fun being the backstage correspondent at the concert. I met and spoke with all the artists before they went on stage which was really cool.. It was also great to reconnect with Nick Jonas and Kelly Clarkson might be my favorite person on the planet! She is full of positive, bubbly energy.

Any plans to head across the pond or is your focus mainly in America?

There are for sure plans to head overseas in the near future, especially now that ‘My Forever’ has been signed to a label in Europe.

What happens if you don’t go to the studio with a box of Cheerios?

Usually the runner in the studio offers to go get me some because everyone knows I need my cheerios, haha!

Mandy Jiroux’s ‘My Forever’ is out now.
