There’s not much longer left until the entire new album from Madonna is revealed in full, and the Queen is continuing to tease her devoted fanbase with frustratingly short previews of some of the set’s best tracks.
This time we’ve been treated to poppy, 80’s flavoured ditty ‘Superstar’ that compares a lover to famous figures of the past and includes an amazing lyric about letting her potential suitor have the password to her phone. Did we mention it even has backing vocals from daughter Lourdes?
But that’s not all. If you’re worried that so far MDNA is sounding like a dance-heavy commercial pelvic thrust at the charts, fear not, because the second preview is for William Orbit-produced ballad ‘Falling Free’. We don’t get much from the clip, but it’s already startlingly different to everything we’ve heard so far and obviously homages her classic Ray Of Light album.
Along with singles ‘Give Me All Your Luvin”, ‘Girl Gone Wild’ and the snippets of ‘I’m Addicted’ and ‘Love Spent’, MDNA is shaping up to be a collection of pretty decent pop songs – but if we’re being honest, we’re still waiting to hear one mind-blowing moment. What do you think?
