Fierce girl group M.O. are turning heads with their sassy and infectious new single ‘Dance On My Own’.
This tune is going out to all the young, single and sexy ladies.
The song hears Frankee, Nadine and Annie sing about moving on from a busted relationship and dancing solo. The headstrong lyrics recall the kind of lines Destiny’s Child used to dish back in the early 00s.
“Won’t be waitin’ on your love no more, won’t waste my time fighting for you like before! And leave my sh*t before you walk out the door, ’cause I’m in heaven just me and the dance floor,” M.O. sings. *Snap*
The girl power vibe isn’t the only thing that feels delightfully old school. ‘Dance On My Own’ sports a body-jerking garage beat, reminiscent of old Mis-Teeq and So Solid Crew tracks from about 12 or 13 years ago.
Musically, it really blends with the late 90s to early-millennium dance/pop revival that’s taking over the charts right now.
M.O. recently went on tour with Little Mix, playing to hyperactive crowds in London, Newcastle and Birmingham. The girls are set to take on a few summer festivals in the coming weeks including Wireless.
