While we are still pretty bummed at the fact Grimmy has confirmed he won’t be reappearing on The X Factor this series, we are slightly cheered up with the rumours that Louis Tomlinson will be filling his seat on the desk. O RLLY?
Now, we know we don’t like to trust these ‘sources’ and ‘insiders’ for the majority, but we’re actually hoping that this is true, with one spilling the beans and saying “Louis Tomlinson is very likely to replace Grimmy. He agreed in principle to the job while assisting Simon Cowell during the judges’ houses round last year.”
However, we may very well be seeing a battle of the Louis’ because Mr Walsh also has a chance at making his big return.
“But Simon remains very fond of Louis Walsh and came very close to bringing him back during last year’s live shows. He felt a certain something was missing on the show without him.”
Now, we all love Louis Tomlinson and think it would be amazing for him to reign as a new judge; after all, he’s been a contestant and a mentor, so it’s either that or presenting and he would have had full experience. But we can’t help but wonder about poor Louis Walsh. What does he do all year without The X Factor? Sure, he could have gone on his holibobs last year and enjoyed the bliss of not working after over a decade on the UK’s biggest talent show, but will he want to spend the rest of his life living it up with no actual big work going on?
We don’t know what Simon’s thinking because he can really be bloody unpredictable at times, so we’re just going to sit tight and wait for the coming weeks before the new line up is revealed.
