One Direction’s Louis launches Doncaster Rovers campaign

Despite the boys being super busy on tour since April, it seems that one member still has enough time to pursue his outside interests. Louis Tomlinson proves he’s not just a talented singer and performer, but a major football fan as well as he announces his takeover of the League One side Doncaster Rovers.

Not only that, but the worldwide pop star, whose roots are clearly planted in his hometown of Doncaster, has also began a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for his newly purchased football club. Aiming for a goal of £2million, Louis hopes this will include the fans more in the running of the club, as well as aid youth and charity work in the area. Isn’t he a sweetie?

Louis said of the campaign, known as #FansUnited, “For me, this is all about the football, the community and restoring the excitement and desire to making Doncaster Rovers the most exciting club to play for in Yorkshire.”
