Seriously, we don’t think Little Mix can be stopped by anyone right now. Since ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ was released, they’ve done so well for themselves. The single went straight to top the charts and we totally weren’t surprised…
But, they’ve really done it this time. We’re predicting a huge party tonight…
(Ngl, we definitely predicted it here.)
We couldn’t be more proud to announce that Little Mix have achieved their first album number one with ‘Glory Days’ on the Official Albums Chart!
They beat Metallica and Bruno Mars to reach the top spot this week. Ready for the really impressive bit? The girls sold over 96,000 copies which is the highest first week sales since 1997’s ‘Spiceworld’ by Spice Girls. It’s also the quickest selling album by a girl group since ‘Survivor’ by Destiny’s Child – 15 years ago!
Not only that, but ‘Glory Days’ has out-sold Drake and Beyonce’s new albums to become the second fasted-selling album of 2016, which was ‘Blackstar’ by David Bowie. They’re also the most successfully charting ‘The X Factor’ winners yet. It’s all a bit too much!
They’ve been working so damn hard recently, we just hope they can put their feet up this weekend. They’ve definitely deserved it!
What do you think? How excited are you for the girls? Let us know in the comments below!
