The world is wonderful.
People are great.
But every now and again a douchebag comes along to rain on everyone’s parade.
But in this case, the douchebag-ery is actually so ludicrous you can’t even take it seriously. Bryan Fischer, a Christian radio host for the American Family Association has given us one of the most shocking tweets that has ever cursed eyeballs:
Worst example of cultural appropriation ever: LGBTs stole the rainbow from God. It’s his. He invented it. Gen. 9:11-17. Give it back.

We are rarely speechless. But wow. Just wow. Where do we even start with this tweet?
First of all, someone needs to look up the phrase ‘cultural appropriation’ in the dictionary. It’s when another culture “borrows” an artistic practices from another. God is not a culture. RAINBOWS AREN’T AN ARTISTIC PRACTISE!
Secondly, you can’t patent a natural phenomenon. It’s like saying Rainman stole rain or the BBC weather should pay royalties to Mother Nature.
We could go on, but actually the LGBTQ+ community has hit back in the best way imaginable so let’s just let them get on with it, shall we?
