X-Factor style round-up alert!
The return of The X Factor is what everybody is talking about this time of year, who is more talented? Who is hottest? Who is the joke act?
This gathers so many opinions on how we all perceive a winner to look and sound like, and in the words of Louis Walsh ‘you look like a popstar, you sound like a popstar’ you really have to look like one.
So who looked really pulled off the 80’s esque look this weekend?
First of all, the divine Lauren Platt. Just about the cutest thing in the world with a voice that literally blows you away, she knows exactly what artist she wants to be and her style reflects that, never fails to impress us at Maximum Pop!
Last night Lauren looked angelic and simple in a AQ/AQ Candice Cream Skater Mini Dress, with a Bonded Skirt (£195 – oh the funds The X Factor have!) It accentuated her figure so effortlessly and made her look simply gorgeous.
She teamed this with some white cut-out topshop platform shoes to keep the look clean, elegant and current. Course we’re not all planning on spending £195 on a dress, are we? Get the look for less here, for £59 in the sale from £225! Get the shoes from £45 to £25 here …bargains or what?
ONLY THE YOUNG:
Only The Young, a favourite of ours here at MaximumPop! Who doesn’t love them? They’re young, fresh, talented and an extremely stylish bunch.
They absolutely stole the show style-wise this weekend, really pulled off a current 80’s esque look, the hair, the makeup, the outfits. Absolute 80’s galore!
Putting a current twist to 80’s inspired trends is exactly what was going down in the styling session with OTY.
The lovely Mikey pulls off a current 80’s look so effortlessly with the classic black slit-knee jeans, two tone brogues and a striped blue toned shirt from ASOS. A slightly unbuttoned shirt for us all to enjoy there, girls!
Next up is the beautiful blonde bombshell Betsy-Blue, lowering our self esteem here at Maximum Pop! with her incredibly edgy outfits to die for, yet again. This outfit screams Betsy, which the stylists have got spot on. Betsy sports a crop top by Moschino, high-waisted mom jeans from Pretty Little Thing, chunky boots from New Look and a cropped jacket, amazing. We all know Betsy loves abit of Moschino which is exactly what she’s wearing so we’re sure she enjoyed the outfit just as much as we did.
Another major style crush of ours, Parisa. You must teach us how to look so rad, Parisa. Her look screamed 80’s, as well as her personal style, with a telephone button print T-Shirt dress by Jeremy Scott (pricey stuff!) and some classic black boots. Simple yet so effective and reflective of the 80’s theme. Would have been cool if the dress had the voting number on it though. They had our votes anyway.
Last but certainly not least, the gorgeous Charlie George rocking double denim. Charlie looked like a teenage heartthrob from Saved By The Bell, right? If you’re an 80s/90’s child you’ll know what we’re talking about. We all know he loves a denim jacket and he sported a divine denim piece from Alexander McQueen, fancy! He paired that with a pair of dark tone jeans from Boohoo Man to match the collar of the denim coat, smart move, Charlie, smart move. He then finished the look with a blue toned paint splat patterned top and some black boots.
