OMG! Lady Gaga’s ‘Paparazzi’ is seven years old and people are STILL talking about it

Can you believe it, Monsters?

It’s been seven long years since Lady Gaga officially released ‘Paparazzi’ from her multi-platinum selling debut album ‘The Fame’. The song was released as the album’s third single on July 6, 2009 and it helped the world fall in love with Lady Gaga.

The iconic video that was released with the single was considered a real game changer at the time. Running at almost EIGHT minutes long and directed by legendary Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund, it was the first in a series of epic videos from Gaga.

It also started a brilliant story that was continued in 2010 with the release of ‘Telephone’ which featured Beyoncé and ran even longer at almost TEN MINUTES.

Well, people are still talking about ‘Paparazzi’ seven years later. Speaking to Andy Cohen on Bravo’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’, Alexander Skarsgård – the man who played Lady Gaga’s boyfriend in the video – revealed that he and Gaga used tongues during their kissing scenes and wanted to be killed off in a more “glamorous” way.

Oooh, Gaga, you are a bad, bad girl, aren’t you. We’re still waiting for the third and final part of the trilogy to the ‘Paparazzi’ story; maybe it will be on Gaga’s new album? Who knows…
