Ke$ha – This Love – Alarm Pop

With the news that sleazy Ke$ha is planning to invent a whole new genre of music (called “c*ck pop”, naturally) with her new album, you’d be forgiven for getting a bit bored of her glitter, booze and rock and roll lifestyle. But Alarm Pop is all about introducing MP!ers to songs you’d normally never hear that we reckon you’d love – and we bet there’s a lot of you that didn’t know there’s a whole other side to the ‘TiK ToK’ singer.

Written for sister-act The Veronicas, ‘This Love’ is like nothing else Ke$ha has recorded. A simple, genuine pop song with dance-rock production, sweet lyrics about a failed long distance relationship and a subtle and enjoyable vocal performance from the usually trashy performer, ‘This Love’ is charming, addictive and probably 15 times better than some of the throwaway party tracks included on Ke$ha’s debut album. Put the beer bottle down for a minute love and make some more songs like this for the next record, yeah?
