Katy Perry is in trouble with PETA over her ‘Roar’ video. POP BITS.

POP BITS. Uh oh! Katy Perry has incurred the wrath of PETA over her ‘Roar’ video.

In her vid for her Number 1 chart smash (watch it here), Katy becomes best buds with many exotic animals, including a monkey named Ripley… “believe it or not”- that still gets us every time. Is it the fact that Ms. Perry paints an elephant’s toe nails combined with PETA’s strong views against animal testing that has encouraged the response from the animal rights activists? No, it’s the use of real life animals in the video.

PETA told the video’s creator that “Animals used for entertainment in film and television endure horrific cruelty and suffer from extreme confinement and violent training methods” and that the supplier for ‘Roar’ has been known to be quite problematic. We hope that this gets handled quickly and that none of the animals are being treated unfairly.

After this reaction, we’d guess that Katy’s video for her new track ‘Dark Horse’ will be more likely to feature a clothes horse than an actual stallion. POP BITS OUT.
