Like you, here at MP! Towers, we are still loving Katy Perry’s massive tune ‘Roar’, and we know a few people who like singing the song too! We’ve scoured the internet and (with your help also) have found some very talented YouTubers who have graced the internet with the beautiful roar-oar-oar-oar-oar-oar-oarrrrs. Sorry, we can get a bit carried away.
Super-cutie Elyar Fox is one of the latest YouTube artistes to cover the tune. Featuring some lovely shots of his bedroom and even introducing us to his extremely cute cat, El gives a very lovely rendition of the smash hit.
Only The Young
Our favourite mixed-gender band since Hear’Say are next up. Only The Young’s version of the song sees them running around London, meeting fans, giving out newspapers, and even trying on policemen’s hats!
The Future Kicks
The Future Kicks were the first band to be featured in Cover Corner for performing ‘Roar’, and now they’ve made their return! The boys’ night time roof top version of the song is still one of our faves. Their all quite fit too, that helps a lot.
From the makers of Union J, now comes… Daniel J. The teen sensation in the making gives the song a whole new vibe with the new R’n’B instrumental that’s been placed alongside Danny boy’s smooth vocals.
Uh oh, they’re back! Winners of our last Cover Star contest Dot SE are back to defend their title. The Swedish hunks have recorded their very own version of KP’s monster hit and have filmed a ‘Live While We’re Young’-esque music video to accompany it.
And finally, some girl power. Six-piece girl group Cimorelli are the final of the YouTube crew to compete for our highly coveted Cover Star award. The US beauties treated us to an angelic version of the tune and show off how much fun they have together in the music video. Ooh, how ‘Change Your Life’!
Result: You voted in your bazillions (ok, that might be a slight exaggeration) and have crowned the ‘Roar’ Cover Star and we can reveal with a whopping 50.46% of the vote is *drum roll*… Only The Young. Woo hoo! That was a toughie but we’re glad you were all there to help us out.
