Katy Perry performs ‘Part Of Me’ in the Live Lounge

The Complete Confection campaign has finally hit UK shores, with candy-floss queen Katy Perry making a special appearance at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge earlier today. In between chatting with her fans about playing an old woman in her last video, revealing a love of baked beans and covering Jay-Z and Kanye West, the singer also gave a stripped back rendition of her current single ‘Part Of Me’.

Though her vocals are still a little ear-drum splitting, this is definitely a successful transformation, taking the song from an anthemic dance record to a stomping acoustic that sounds much darker and intense than the original. And whilst she didn’t sound great, she looked amazing – in fact, the blue hair might be our favourite style yet (at least until we see Katy Perry the soldier in full).
