Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose’ has been battling it out with One Direction’s ‘Made In The A.M.’ for the past week, and people have pretty much made it into a big deal.
So what if two of the biggest names in music released their album on the same day? A bit of friendly competition never hurt anyone did it?
One Direction managed to pip Justin to the post in the UK and grab the fastest-selling album of the year so far but Bieber nabbed the title in the US and Australia.
‘Purpose’ sold a massive 649,000 album units in America in its first week while 1 Dizzle came in second shifting 459,000 units. It’s Justin’s fourth consecutive Number 1 record in the US. Well done lad!
