During his whirlwind visit to London to perform at the BRITs, he fit in the time to go and visit some nurses. Don’t panic, he’s absolutely fine, he met up with them to congratulate them on beating him to Christmas number one last year.
After tweeting about how, actually, being Christmas number one didn’t matter that much to him, the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir beat Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’ to the top spot with their charity single ‘A Bridge Over You’.

Biebs and the NHS Choir met for the first time in London to celebrate each other’s historic chart achievements.
Justin handed each of the forty members of the choir with their Number 1 Awards, and to return the favour, the choir gave him his award for becoming the first artist ever to hold the number one, number two, and number three spot on the same chart.
Justin told Official Charts: “I was honoured to meet everyone from the choir and I’m really happy that they got their number one.”
Junior doctor and NHS choir spokesperson, Katie Rogerson said:“We are all delighted to meet Justin Bieber today, and congratulate him on his tremendous achievements. It was wonderful that Justin supported the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS choir. By doing this, he not only recognised our mental health charities (MIND, SAMH and NIAMH) and Carers UK, but also acknowledged every single member of our hardworking NHS team across the UK. On a personal note… it gives me a bit of street cred with my paediatric patients as Dr Katie! I’m now a Belieber in every sense of the word!”
Welcome to the team, Katie.
