Justin Bieber’s new album – 5 things you *need* to know

Over two years ago, Justin Bieber burst on to the scene with debut single ‘Baby’, causing teenage girls across the globe to faint and hearts to suddenly break. Fast forward to 2012 and The Biebs is planning to return with his highly anticipated third studio album and this time we want you to be more prepared. Album name, release date, guest duets and more – MP!’s done the hard work, so you don’t have to. Keep reading for 5 things you NEED to know about Justin Bieber’s new album.

1

Question: what could Justin possibly choose to follow such Earth shattering titles as ‘My World 2.0’ and ‘Under The Mistletoe’ for the name of his brand new album? The answer, MP!ers, is ‘Believe’. We’re 97% sure the songs will be better than that suggests.

And here’s when you can expect to see Justin’s face smiling up at you from the shelves of all good CD retailers (or grinning out at you from the iTunes homepage?): Believe is currently scheduled for a summer release – but JB’s manager says it won’t be unveiled until it’s ‘perfect’.

With his debut album featuring input from the likes of Usher, Ludacris and Sean Kingston, we’re not surprised that Believe also has an A-list cast lining up to work on it. Kanye West, Drake and Danja (responsible for this, this and this) are all confirmed, and Ke$ha’s only gone and written a duet too!

Not content with selling truckloads of smash hit urban pop songs, The Biebs is planning to completely change his musical style with this album – to a new sound that people aren’t used to hearing. He’s using Justin Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveSounds album as a reference, which, in his own words, means “acoustic guitar over hard drums”. Intriguing.

Could we see Justin join forces with The Wanted? The boy band supported Justin on tour and JB recently posted this tweet, proving that he approves of The Wanted’s mission to break the US. File this one under “Unlikely, but MP! can dream.”

Stay tuned to Maximum Pop! because as soon as we know more about the new Justin Bieber album, you’ll be the first to know.
