Mia reviews the ‘unique and fascinating’ ‘Firewalker’ by Josephine Angelini

‘Firewalker’ is the blazing sequel to ‘Trial By Fire’ , a story of parallel universes, magic and one girl trying to make sense of it all. The blurb says it’s a “another sexy, fast-paced, heartbreaking thrill ride from internationally bestselling author Josephine Angelini” – and we want to see how many MP!ers out there agree with that.

Mia got a copy flopped onto her doorstep in exchange for this dazzling honest review.

Have you read any of Josephine Angelini’s books before this? If not, would you consider it now? I’d only read the first book in the ‘Starcrossed’ trilogy before but I really enjoyed it, and now I really want to finish that series!

Did this book meet your expectations? Yes! I didn’t really know what it was about before I started reading so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed it. The story’s really fast paced and interesting, and there was just the right amount of romance for my taste.

Did you find Josephine’s brand of science meets magic confusing or clever? It did take me a little while to get my head around all of the new words and concepts (that’s probably just my fault, though, I get confused quite easily), but once I did I thought it was a really unique and fascinating way to write magic. I’ve never read a book that mixed magic and science together like Josephine Angelini did so I think it really made the story stand out!

Firewalker1Feel free to gush about Rowan. Or rant. Your choice. I loooove Rowan! He made some decisions I didn’t really agree with, especially in the second book, but most of the time I thought he was really sweet and swoon worthy. Why isn’t he a real person? WHY?

On a scale of 1 to crazed fangirl, how excited are you for the next book? Definitely crazed fangirl! Actually, I might have surpassed that. Let’s just say I need that book in my life ASAP.

Rate the series out of 10. Hmmm…probably an 8/10. I really enjoyed it, but it just wasn’t quite perfect enough to be a 10/10 for me!
