Jessie J is working hard chucking out new music left, right and centre whilst she promotes her new album, ‘Alive’ (and features on every decent film soundtrack out there). Jessie’s tracks from the last couple of months (It’s My Party, Excuse My Rude, Hero and Magnetic) are packed full of punch and attitude but she takes it back a notch in ‘Square One’.
‘Square One’ is a mid-tempo ballad about a failing relationship which cuts out her recent cocky lyrics and showcases a more vulnerable side. The track showcases Ms. J’s stellar vocals over some percussion and pounding beats. It’s more ‘Who You Are’ than ‘Domino’, but this is good as ‘Who You Are’ was one of the songs that made us fall helplessly in love with the former Voice UK coach.
